Hello, My name is Oby Ezuma. My friend Caroline and I started creating these bulletin boards in our sophomore year. Through Rising Royals, a group centered around raising student engagement, Caroline and I, plus a few others, volunteered to do these bulletin boards and by the end of the year, it was just the two of us. Starting the new year, we quickly realized that we enjoyed making these boards and even came in during our summer break to put them together as we didn't want the fun to end. Inspired by RAs in college, we continued to make bulletin boards with references many students and staff would enjoy and hopefully make people chuckle as they passed them during the day. Caroline and I are constantly sharing ideas and picking the ones we think will bring the most joy. We always carve out time to make these boards happen and standing back and looking at the finished product is the best reward. To see that our boards have made such an impact on so many people and seeing others enjoy them is an outcome I never would have imagined, but I am glad it happened.
Hello, my name is Caroline Soria. Since March, Oby and I have been dedicated to creating a fun and enthusiastic environment for our district, one board at a time. We felt that it would benefit our class to create boards that represent us through pop culture and have references that have relevant messages that resonate with the students. Each month, we get together after school to ensure a fresh new design to continue inspiring and engaging our peers. The process is a lot of cutting, stapling, and taping but ultimately is worth the finished product. It's rewarding to know we can contribute to positively impacting our community and inspire others to be creative. The elementary school loved our boards so much that they invited us over to create one for them!
