6th Grade Snake Road

The 6th graders had the opportunity to adventure to Snake Road for our final overnight trip of the year. Students were able to step away from the stresses of everyday life, unplug from technology, and fully immerse themselves in the outdoors.

The Snake Road Outdoor Education program is student-centered and designed to enhance learning and personal growth, while also strengthening our class community through shared experiences. Activities included team building, problem solving, hiking, archery, canoeing, high ropes, rock climbing, and zip-lining.

This program provides a powerful opportunity for students to build relationships, challenge themselves, grow in confidence, and gain independence. It is my favorite field trip of the year because it allows me to connect with my students in new ways and support them as they take on challenges. I am always amazed by their grit and determination.

Finally, a huge thank you to our amazing volunteers who helped chaperone this trip—it would not have been possible without you!
