The PTO Does That?
When Mrs. Melnyk was looking for a parent to volunteer and
write the next blog she knew where to take this request - the monthly PTO
meeting. Ask at the meeting where there
is already a large number of parents who are ready to give of their time and
talent, and she got what she needed! The PTO board was eager to accept this
request. Anything to help out our
principal and give us a reason to talk about our amazing PTO!

Michelle Hansen is our VP. Have you seen those flamingos making their way around the neighborhoods these past couple of months? That was her! It is just one of her awesome new ideas for this year. The money being raised by these fundraisers will help us make some larger purchases for our schools this year.

Our treasurer is Danyell Schollmeyer. Popcorn Fridays are only one of her many commitments with us but it’s definitely one of the most popular with the kids!

Sharri Hane is our beloved secretary. She goes above and beyond to help, and really enjoys setting up our Mom/Son events every year.

The rest of our PTO members are… YOU! If you are a parent or teacher at either the ES or MS you are already a PTO member. The PTO has a hand in so many different things all year long that we heavily rely on, and are so very thankful for, all of our members volunteering their time and efforts. Here is a list of just SOME of the things your PTO does.
Popcorn Friday, MS Concessions, MS Fundraiser Dances,
Mother/Son Event, Daddy Daughter Dance, Book Fair, Donuts with Grownups,
Hospitality Meals during Parent Teacher Conferences, Teacher Appreciation Week,
Pie Night, 8th Grade Graduation Dance, Room Parties, Fall Fun Fest,
Spirit Wear, Flamingos, School Assemblies, Bus Driver Appreciation, MS Track,
Welcome Back Luncheon for staff, and more. None of these would be possible
without all of our awesome volunteers.

Keep up to date with current PTO info by following us on FB,
Instagram, and come to our monthly meeting on the third Tuesday of every month
at 7pm in the ES library. We conduct a
lot of business at our meetings but we also aim to have a good time! There are
always some laughs, food, and prizes! Plus you get to actively participate in
the decisions for new events and fundraising ideas as well as how we spend the
money we raise. We have so many plans
and we want you to be a part of them!
