April 16th - High School Parent

 The future is bright

My name is Debbie Bullard, I have been asked to talk about Connor’s Senior Year.  First, I am so glad that the Seniors get to have some resemblance of a Senior Year.  I have seen such triumph with Connor and all the Seniors over these difficult times. It is amazing at how much Connor has matured in just the past year.

Connor has made great friends along the way at Hinckley-Big Rock High School. Some of those friends even include teachers and coaches who have helped him grow and learn. This past year Connor has dedicated himself to his studies. It has been a challenge not being in the classroom to learn but his perseverance has been outstanding. He has had excellent opportunities these past four years to strengthen lots of skills that will prepare him for the future from Leadership Retreat, Student Council and so many clubs.

When talking about Connor, we cannot forget to mention his dedication to sports. He has always been very active, and this year has been extremely challenging. We were not even sure if he would have the opportunity to play during his senior year and we are as happy to see that he has been able to play as he is to be participating. He has been playing sports for so many years with this group of people that it will be hard to not watch them both win and lose together.

Although, Connor has not totally decided what his future will be. He has received a good foundation from HBR, and it will be a new beginning for him which I believe he will meet with determination. I am slightly sad about the end, but the excitement of a new beginning and his future are so very bright.
